Iceland. Oh Iceland. What an adventure we had in the land of ice and fire. I can't believe it's taken me this long to start to share some of my photos from this trip. Thank you dear Ella for talking me into going with you and being my partner in the ups and downs of producing and shooting in a place where we had no real contacts and couldn't drive! I hope to get round to sharing more from our travels there, for now though I just wanted to share favourites from my set of photos of our inspiration eco bridal shoot.
I loved the gowns from ethical and fairtrade designer Sanyukta Shrestha and be sure to scroll long enough to enjoy the gorgeous handiwork of Kathleen Pearlson of Susura jewellry, paper deliciousness by Ella Jackson and lovingly made knits from Hélène Magnússon . So proud of the work created by this group of vendors that we brought together!
Taken on Pentax 645 and Pentax 67. Photos part of a shoot co-produced and co-shot with Ella Sadika.
"Inspired both by Iceland’s landscape and the country’s use of renewable energy, we sought to create an editorial that would offer brides eco-friendly and nature inspired options for their wedding. From the ethically made, fairtrade gowns from Sanyukta Shrestha, to the hand-crocheted metal accessories from Susura, the perfect invitation suite on eco paper from Ella Jackson inspired by the landscape, or the handknit shawl made from pure Icelandic wool, we love how being earth conscious can also be stylish and luxurious." - Chen
