A more personal blog post today of some wedding photos I took unofficially - posted here more for me to savour and treasure than anything else - it was a super special wedding for me!
My best friend got married in the most perfect autumn wedding I could ever imagine. In late October in London no less! It was dry, the sun was out and the most colourful leaves were on show for their OUTDOOR ceremony. I wore a short dress with no tights AND sunglasses for goodness sake! For British weather, this is a rarity! And no sweeter couple could deserve it more (not that I’m biased!).
It was a little heartbreaking not to be the official photographer but I wanted (to attempt!) to be as present as possible and enjoy all the love and joy as a guest. But of COURSE I couldn’t help myself... armed with my hubbys little Leica Q, here are some of my favourites of my beautiful bestie and our friends.
I especially took joy in being there for bridal prep as it’s one of my favourite parts of the day - and there is nothing more special than watching your best friend put on her wedding dress. *swoon*
p.s. And if you make it to the end you’ll get to enjoy some shots from their EPIC first dance!
Thank you for an amazing day Charles and Sarah - and although I just wrote I was sad I wasn’t photographer - the memories of dancing and being with all our friends and your familes (and dressing up as a proper guest!) was simply THE BEST.
